No One Can Ever Know, the third album from Scots The Twilight Sad, arrives next week on Fat Cat. For this effort, the trio worked with legendary producer Andrew Weatherall and added darker synth elements to color their moody shoegaze.

The band cite Nine Inch Nails and Depeche Mode as influences, and you can hear an industrial edge and subtle dissonance in the layers of electronics. But strip that away and you still have the brutal storytelling of frontman James Graham.
